New Delhi - After a long discussed , Toyota Kirloskar Motor ( TKM ) reportedly is ready to launch Etios Cross on 7 May 2014 in India . Previously , Toyota had started open bookings since last February .
Reported indianautosblog page , Friday ( 04/11/2014 ) Toyota Etios Cross will be available in three engine options , 1.2 -liter gasoline engine first 4 -cylinder engine capable of producing 80 PS at 5,600 rpm and torque of 104 Nm at 3,100 rpm .
The second petrol engine capacity of 1.5 liters which is capable of spewing power 90 PS at 5,600 rpm and torque of 132 Nm at 3,000 rpm . The latter is a 1.4 -liter diesel engine that is capable of throwing power 68 PS at 3800 rpm and torque of 170 Nm at 1800-2400 rpm . All machines ditaarkan in 5-speed manual transmission .
Toyota Etios Cross will also be available in 8 color choices and in India will compete directly with the VW Polo and Fiat which will be launched later this year .
In addition , there are also models that get additional accessories like plastic cladding on the front , rear and side roof rails and the addition of safety features like ABS , EBD and dual airbags on the front .
